Had a recent screening for health insurance and they declined coverage due to my having an elevated GGT level. As mentioned above, all the other LFT's came back in the normal range. Additionally I had a physical 6 month prior where they didn't test GGT but in that six month period AST elevated from 26 to 30 and ALT elevated from 28 to 37. I have been researching but have found research saying that this is likely from high alcohol intake but disagreement over whether one indicator is a serious reason for concern. Any insight would be appreciated.

schedule another test...

Try not drinking for 4 days before the test and don't eat the night before.

Eat more protein and less carbs.

That should drop it dramatically, if it doesn't you may have a problem.
