there is something up between the front and back seats in the Volkswagen Cabrio. Is there any way to get it out of the car, and what is its significant?

Are you referring to the roll bar? It's there to keep you from getting crushed if the car rolls - maybe you can cut it out since it doesn't affect the structural integrity of the car, but it would probably be a stupid thing to do.

You are talking about the built-in roll bar. This is to help reduce injury in case of a roll over, and you do not want to take it out of the vehicle. It is there for a reason.

Also, if it were to be cut out, you'd have a gaping hole between the front and rear windows. It's just much safer to leave it in. And it's funner for your friends to swing into the back seat. ;-)

I think you're talking about the wind deflector.? Either it should just fold down to see better or to remove there is one pull knob on each side that has these prongs that slide into the side panels. You have to pull them both at once and remove.
