Dark circles?? Same prob. Went to the dermatologist and he recommended topical Vitamin K or Vitamin C. I'm not sure if it's working, really.
For the puffiness. Not much you can do about that. It's a genetic thing and it's related to fat pads under the eye. If you are really zealous about having them gone, they can be surgically removed. An incision is made within the eye under the lid and the pads are removed. It's all done with laser, so not much down time. But, will cost a couple thousand dollars.

There are many causes of dark circles, from age, heredity, allergies, cold or sinus infection, bone structure and glasses which are not so commonly known.

If you would like to apply home remedies to reduce dark circles, here are some of my suggestions:
Buy a box of regular, old fashioned unflavored gelatin (e.g. Knox) from grocery store. Take a small cup or bowl and put in 1 teaspoon of the gelatin mix. Add one tablespoon of boiling water & stir for a minute. Test it on your wrist to make sure it is not too hot. Then, using a cotton ball, pat it under your eyes as you would an eye cream or gel. Go lie down and listen to some music, or take a bath & let it stay on for at least 30 minutes. Then just rinse it off.Gelatin is very high in Vitamin K & Biotin. It will not remove your dark circles on the first application (but you will notice a difference), but if you do it daily for a week, and then 2-3 times a week for maintenance, you should notice a drastic reduction in dark circles.

Are you sleep deprived?? Do you have dark skin tone? If so it just may be your genetics to have those. Try using some cucumber circles (i know that isn't cool for a guy but it's supposed to work) lay them on each closed eye. It's supposed to help, the cooler the better...That will help relieve the swelling and puffiness.
Get some good rest (8 hrs +) and drink your water, every day. Good luck to you.

There are a number of causes, but one of the most common ones is sinusitis - where the sinuses are clogged or inflamed by infection, allergies, or physical obstructions. Sinusitis also causes headaches, stuffiness, and post nasal drip. If you have these other symptoms along with the circles, then sinusitis is a likely cause. The symptoms can be relieved with by taking an antihistamine (such as sudafed) and an expectorant (such as Mucinex). There are also prescription nasal sprays and other meds available.

Lots and lots and lots and lots of water to drink gets rid of the darkness. At least 6 glasses a day. Believe it or not pile gel takes the puffiness away INSTANTLY!!!!!!!!! I'm seriously not joking, try it! Preparation H is the best.My nan told me about this years ago. Apply to both upper and lower eye morning and evening. Looks and feels like Bodyshop eye treatment. Even my 18yo daughter is convinced.

Boil tea bags. Let them cool. Lie down and place these over your eyes. They will draw puffiness and discoloration from the eyes.
