why do you still find this woman still attractive, even after this proof of bad parenting? Parenting skills is one of the ways you rate a human being and a posible mate.

Jack,
Since the age of 11, I would have thought that you or your other would have seen this problem coming. Now, he is an adult. Any physical attack he makes on his mom or you is assault. When he tries the same outside of home it may get him killed.
At seventeen he is too old for you or his mom to change. It's time to call in legal authorities to protect you and her from him. That may be the only thing that will keep him from doing serious prison time or getting killed.
I've seen so many parents who will take unlimited abuse from their adult "kids". They are doing the kids no good. If the mom won't act to stop him then you must act by yourself to help all three of you.
Good luck.

This has helped many parents, good luck... Let him read this.
Don't Mess With Mom
My son came home from school one day,
with a smirk upon his face.
He decided he was smart enough,
to put me in my place.
"Guess what I learned in Civics Two,
that's taught by Mr. Wright?
It's all about the laws today,
The 'Children's Bill of Rights.'
It says I need not clean my room,
don't have to cut my hair.
No one can tell me what to think,
or speak, or what to wear.
I have freedom from religion,
and regardless what you say,
I don't have to bow my head,
and I sure don't have to pray.
I can wear earrings if I want,
and pierce my tongue & nose.
I can read & watch just what I like,
ge tattoos from head to toe.
And if you ever spank me,
I'll charge you with a crime.
I'll back up all my charges,
with the marks on my behind.
Don't you ever touch me,
my body's only for my use,
not for your hugs and kisses, that's just more child abuse.
Don't preach about your morals,
like your Mama did to you.
That's nothing more than mind control,
and it's illegal too!
Mom, I have these children's rights,
so you can't influence me,
or I'll call Children's Services Division,
better known as CSD."
Of course my first instinct was
to toss him out the door.
But the chance to teach him a lesson
made me think a little more.
I mulled it over carefully,
I couldn't let this go.
A smile crept upon my face,
he's messing with a pro.
Next day I took him shopping
at the local Goodwill Store.
I told him, "Pick out aal you want,
there's shirts and pants galore.
I've called and checked with CSD
who said they didn't care
if I bought you K-Mart shoes
instead of Nike Airs.
I've cancelled that appointment
to take your drivers test.
The CSD is unconcered
so I'll decide what's best."
I said "No time to stop and eat,
or pick up stuff to munch.
And tomorrow you can start to learn
to make your own sack lunch.
Just save the raging appetite,
and wait till dinner time.
We're having liver and onions,
a favorite dish of mine."
He asked "Can I please rent a movie,
to watch on my VCR?"
"Sorry, but I sold your TV,
for new tires on my car.
I also rented out your room,
you'll take the couch instead.
The CSD requires
just a roof over your head.
Your clothing won't be trendy now,
I'll choose what we eat.
That allowance that you used to get,
will buy me something neat.
I'm selling off your jet ski,
dirt-bike & roller blades.
Check out the 'Parents Bill of Rights',
its in effect today!
Hey hot shot, are you crying,
Why are you on your knees?
Are you asking God to help you out,
instad of CSD..?"

Been there, done that, and I don't know what to tell you, because it doesn't get any better. The younger generation thinks that just because we gave birth to them, we owe them everything. When will they grow up? Probably not before we're dead and gone. Sorry, I know this isn't any help for you!! Good luck!!!!!!

Document all violence and have his little punk **** arrested. Even if she leaves you, you will punish him if you truly love her. I couldn't even imagine striking my own mother and a punk who would do that needs his butt raped in prison to put his life in order.
On that note, you can always go pick up a bag of grass and hide it in his room, then call cops on him. Normally this is a cardinal sin, but the little **** hits his mother... so anything goes.

maybe he needs to do some hard time. If he hits you with a bat either kick his *** or call the cops.
let him know that you won't have it. you have to take control man. Sure he'll get angry but it's the only way.

Wait one year and he'll be gone.
Actually this strained relationship will always be an issue, if you don't like it perhaps you need to have a heart to heart with her.

Count down the days until he's 18 and you can put him out. Your lady's worth it right?
