Personally, I think that religion is something people use as a source of comfort. So much in our world is confusing, and where some people use facts and science to explain the world, some people use religion. Some people use both. Once any person of any religion starts trying to convert you, however, they cross a line. You shouldn't have to be any religion you don't want to be. But in turn, you shouldn't chastise people for being religious.

Thank you for your question! I'm one of those "inferior logically challenged religiously inclined fellow humans"(no offence taken:) and it does seem that Atheists tend to bash us ILCRIFH(sorry, it's for the sake of limited space:) and vise versa. So how would you help me as an Atheist? How can I help you? We both have beliefs(since Christianity[for example, since I'm a Christian] is a belief as well as Atheism) and I can't prove there is a God any more than you can prove there Isn't a God... I can only show you the a much more intellegent mind created earth, and naturally you would assume that I meant God. So instead of bashing each other, we can respect each other for our faith and perhaps logically explain our points of veiw persuasivly. I assume that's what you meant by "helping", but I may be wrong. Anyway, thanks for your time!

Logically Challenged? And by that I suppose you mean that we are dumb, and are living in a fairy tale? Well let me tell you that evolution has no more evidence than creation.... But wait am I too dumb to realise that? So if christians and people who are religous are dumb then what about Einstein? Issac Newton? Yes, of course they were really dumb. pfffftt. We are not dumb we just realize the truth and are not how do you say willing ignorant as you are. I bet you didn't even know that half of the things that you learned in the textbooks about evolution are lies? Did you know that? Then how come a fifteen year old can find them? Of course that is because I'm dumb.
Please I'm wasting my time here......

I second Riot. That you believe retarded younger brothers should be chained to basement walls, and do so yourself, is the bigger issue here. And out of curiousity, what happens to sisters? elder siblings? Murder? Rape? Same? A combination of the 3?

Atheists here seem incapable; they're continually being corrected by Christians. For example, notice the way I spelled "they're" and it's grammatic use. You should have also used a commas and a hyphon: "inferrior, logically-challenged, religiously-inclined". This is a series of adjectives.
(You might want to take note. If you really think you're superior, perhaps you should spell like you are.)

You would chain your brother to a basement wall? I think you should learn right-from-wrong from others, any others of your "species," before trying to convert the world.

Let me refraise the question. Are believers neglecting aspects of creation that are within the scope of human reason to pursue theological systems that they believe perfect in their interpretation?
Humans are imperfect with one exception. Therefore to think a theological interpretation given from a tender age is perfect, and therefore deny our fallibility as humans is very common. We recognize these ideas threaten people who derive power from organized religion and are often brushed off without logical defense. Jesus is perfect, but we need to examine everything.
Studying creation, such as a geologist or archaeologist is a way of praising God, and God provides rewords for the study of creation. God also provides punishment for closing our eyes, even when we think we close them to honor God.

I'm a Deist, and although I don't like Christianity, I try to tolerate, after all I won't lose anything if someone believed that they will be "saved", it's personal freedom. Besides, many great scientists had faith in God, such as Newton.

No I don't think so. I don't find the religious to be necessarily so logically challenged. Some are some aren't just like everyone else.
I just reject their assumptions.
