NOO!!!!
dont do that!
Lets say that you want to dye yourhair reddish-brown, and you decide on semi-permanent. you get done dying your hair and you turn out looking like ronald mcdonald for 3 months.
okay well that was my little scenario that i made up. but seriously - what if blonde dye turns out to be white hair?? black dye turns out to be navy blue hair??
i have no idea how to get across all the risks of going semi-permanent.
i would say to go with one of those really temporary dyes just to expiriment with you hair color.
good luck!

I Think This All Depends On Your Hair Texture And All, My Hair Is Strange :S I Have Semi Permanent In My Hair And It's Stayed In For 2 Or 3 Months Now, And I Wash My Hair Everyday. But I Had Permanent Once, And It Lasted A Little Over Month. BUT To Be Safe? Go For Permanent!!

Go with permanent color. Semi-permanent lasts only about 2-3 weeks with daily hair washing. Only use this for long term color if you have very short, frequently-cut hair (like me). It's designed for people who want an occasional change, or are testing out new colors b4 they decide to go for the long-haul. My hair is really short, and grwos out fast, so I have used semi-permanent bc I have roots really fast, and with the short cut, my hair ends up looking two-toned. These don't lighten your hair under the dye which makes frequent coloring less damaging.

It matters what kind of hair you have. I used the semi-permanent once and it lasted a whole year (with daily shampooing). Now I use L'Oreal Color Pulse that says it lasts 8-10 shampoos, it lasts a month or longer with me. So your hair type/texture makes a big difference.

a semi permanent hair color will last between 4-6 weeks depending on how often you wash your hair, what kind of shampoo you use (anything from the grocery store contain chemicals that are actually really harsh on your hair, its best to go with a salon quality shampoo and conditioner) and also what color you dye your hair. Reds or warm colors tend to fade a lot quicker, cool colors tend to stay in you hair a bit longer.
Hope it helps!
