I'm and architecture student and all pictures of the house are from the side of the beach. I need to find a way to see the front and two sides of the house so that i can draw the elevations and make the model.

Contact someone at the Malibu Chanber of commerce. i think they may have a Heritage Society that takes people on tours and stuff like that. I saw a house via that route about three years ago.

The Colony is a gated / guarded community and getting in would be difficult. I'm not familiar with this property. Is it right on the beach? If you do a Yahoo search of "Malibu Bay Colony" you will find a item named " Life's a Beach-Malibu Beach" which, as you scroll down, will describe how to enter by the public access areas, but you have to remain on the wet sand areas to avoid arrest, so that may or may not help, and if you were taking photographs you would quickly draw attention to your self. There is a Police Station located in the colony, have you tried calling them and explaining your situation? They may offer some ideas. I wish I could have helped more. What ever you do --do it legally they don't screw around out there with the stalker problem and such....
