i started dating after i turned 16.. because that is the age guys can start to drive.. so they can actually Take you on the date.. wihthout having some awkward chaperoning or whatever. plus it's the first year of high school.. and that i think is a good time.. once you start high school.. because that's basically what high school is all about.
because in jr. high it was just like i'm "going out" with so and so.. but you didn't really ever GO anywhere.. you just both liked eachother and all that fun stuff. but once you get to high school you are more mature and dating comes with the experience of maturing... and it's easy to date someone in your school if they ask you out.. you just go on the dates with them and then talk to them at school.. and if you become boyfriend and girlfriend you will spend all your time with them.. you'll know what to do once you got there.. it just happens..

I started at 14...2 years too early. I'm sure you've heard on one occassion or another that it's not a good idea to start until you're at least 16, and even then, you should refrain from dating one-on-one. I didn't believe it at first, but as an 18-year-old who has already experienced at least 3 extremely bad dating setbacks, I would have appreciated waiting a couple more years. Every single one of my girlfriends has left me, they didn't show respect to themselves OR me, and I owe it to my decision to start dating at such a young age. Many teens concern themselves with not being able to experiment with the dating world; they see it as a punishment if parents do not permit them to date during their high school years. But you wanna know something? Those people are the ones who tend to carry out successful marriages; the percentage of divorce in that category of people is significantly smaller; they are happier in their relationships; they know how to handle situations better than those who start before 16. If you are under 16 and are considering the dating world, I would strongly encourage you to hold out for just a little while longer. I wish I would have.

I started dating in middle school - about 13. But just talking on the phone and having our parents drive us to the movies and stuff, kid stuff, nothing serious until later. A good age would probably be about 15 - to date- nothing more serious at that point. You mean how do you date someone in school if they never ask you out? You ask them out. Dating in school is tricky - people are always trying to start drama and split you up but if you stay honest and mature with eachother it's not a big deal.

Fourteen, either 14 or 15 is a good age to start dating.
How do you date someone from school? Just go out with them, movie a movie, a game, dinner or even just to hang out and watch a movie or something.

I have only had one bf and we was both 16. And he was the only person that i ever felt comfortable with and that i felt like i could say anything around him and not look or sound stupid. We had been friends ever since we was like five but we are not friends anymore. Now I am 17 Its been almost a year.
My dad races circle track with a modified mini stock and we would just walk around the pits or just sit on the back of the truck and talk. It was never anything more than that and we was both content on it bein that.
At school just maybe walk to classes with them or hang out between classes. You could meet them after school and leave school and go get something to eat or something like that.

I agree with cutie. 18-22 is a good time. but whenever you're ready. You're going to think you are ready when you actually aren't, but go ahead anyways. You can only learn from it. When you do find a special person teenagers typically just hang out after school, go to the movies, the mall, whatever.

First part-if you can call it dating I was eleven. heavy serious dating-17. if they don't ask you out, why not asking them out? If this doesn't work I guess you can't at this time. maybe things will change in the future and some kind of a relationship will happen.
