I have a male and a female... both are black, male has white star on his chest with blue eyes, female is pitch black with blue/purple eyes... they're both pretty laid back and spend every waking moment together... any ideas?

If you want commonplace I would say go with Midnight and Ebony. If you want not so normal I would say Aristotle (the male what better than a famous Astronomer/philosopher) and Amethyst (name the female after a color that matches her eyes)

Marshall Dillon (from Gunsmoke - yea, I know you're too young to have heard of it - sigh!) for the boy because of the star (badge) on his chest.
Liz (for Elizabeth Taylor - she has those great blue/purple eyes). Or if you want to keep with the Gunsmoke theme - the girl could be Miss Kitty (she was the owner of the saloon where everyone hung out. And I think she ran a brothel upstairs, but in the 60's those things were only hinted at. TV was much more moral back then.)

Here are some names. A lot of them aren't really my taste, but I have no idea what kind of names you like: Whisper, Midnight, Diamond, Star, Gem, Jewel, Moon, Sky, Sapphire, Saphira, Willow, Princess, Angel, Cloud, Comet, Hail, Rain, Chloe, Blacky/Blackie, Ebony, Ivory, Shadow, Storm, Velvet, Charcoal, Inky, Jet, Smoke, Smokey, Pepper, Raven, Blackberry, Blackcat, Sooty, Sweep, Vegemite, Licorice, Phantom, Panther, Pitch, Sable, Ace, Belle, Bella, Fortune, Muffin, Pal, Pixie, Sugar, Arrow, Sparkle, Cyclone, Frosty, Ghost, Gypsy, Marshmallow, Tornado, Razor, Sparky, Rocket, Nightmare, Dream, Regal....

Do any of them take your interest? It took me a while thinking of them all and listing them, heh.

Hope they helped! And good luck with your new family members!

I always have fun naming them after favorite TV show characters. Like Desi and Lucy, Fred and Ethel, Monica and Chandler, etc...It is better to wait a bit to see some of their personality first but kittens are always spastic anyway. That's why we love them so much.....Mark

Well... this is interesting. Name the black one either Midnight, Knight, or Magic.

The femal sounds like a Diamond, Jewel, or Princess. Dunno. Blue eyes or purple eyes give it a girly sense. Good-luck though!
