I heard that the peso in Argentina is worth 3:1 in U.S currency and Mexican pesos are 10:1 U.S currency, yet people say Mexico has a better economy???

That does NOT mean that ANY country have a better economy than others. Economy and value of the currency exchange are different things, don't get confused...

Seeing that Argentina has seen more than 6 presidents in the last 10 years, I would say Mexico has a better economy. During recent G8 meetings Mexico was one of three countries (the other two being India and Brazil) that were invited to become prospective members. Argentina has as much corruption as Mexico, however Argentina has a larger population of business professionals. Problem is most of the jobs are outside the country, resulting in a 'brain drain" for Argentina as many of them leave to work overseas.

The exchange rate is just one parameter to measure the state of an economy, however there are many other factors that you must take into account.
Mexico`s economy is much stronger than Argentina`s.

the banking system in Argentina nearly collapsed a few years ago.
the economic strength of a nation is not predicated on the exchange rate of their money to the US dollar.

No its doesn't. Actually Mexico has a problem with illegals from Argentina coming into Mexico for work.

I think the only country in the world worse than Mexico is Zimbabwe. If illegals didn't mail billions home each year they would dry up and blow away.
