Whats better Z650 or the Z710. They're both the same price and same optical zoom, but the 650 has a bigger LCD and less megapixels and the 710 has a smaller screen and more megapixels. 650 has 6.1mp and 710 has 7.1mg.what would you choose.

I'd go for the Z710. Not only is it "slightly better" with 7 MP instead of 6 MP, but it offers three resolutions. I do not know how they compare to the two resolutions on the Z650, but it's one more degree of flexibility. It's also about 9 months newer, which can be significant in digital cameras.

Both cameras have a special 800 ISO mode for low light or fast action, but the Z710 allows a 2 MP file while the Z650 only allows a 1 MP file. You can at least DO something with a 2 MP file, but a 1 MP file is not good for too much beyond e-mail or web use.

It looks to me like the Z710 is just the new and improved version of the Z650, so if you are seeing them at the same price, buy the newer and better Z710 without hesitation.

Both have horrible reviews. Go look at a Canon, Nikon, or Sony.
