And I care about what they think because ...??

As a current Christian who used to be an atheist for 20 years, I think I can answer this. As a "Godless" person, I believed that everything just came about by chance, which was an extremely naive and unintelligent position, but the real fact was that I was just "mad at God" for things that had happened to me during childhood. I believed that I had been "abandoned" by God, so I turned my back on Him. While I was an atheist, I was more concerned with popular culture and pleasing myself than anything spiritual. I used to go online and tell Christians and creationists how stupid they were for believing what they did. It wasn't until a series of events occurred that led me to Christ, when my life did a complete 180. I went from being a pro-choice, evolutionist/atheist to being a pro-life, creationist/Christian. My life has been changed permanently for the better. I have turned my back on the worldly things I used to be attached to before, and I have matured greatly.

We can't assume anything. They probably think a lot of the same things we do. I would think that their focus would be different. As a believer, we approach things with the understanding that there is a God out there that loves us very much and cares about all aspects of our lives. We want and need His direction in our lives. It is actually quite liberating..

Most of the Godless people that I have ever encountered actually believe in God but because they would rather not follow the Ten Commandments or the Bible they have chosen to reject the existence of God. They choose to live life as they so desire and believe that he or she is in control of his/her own life.

If they're godless, they would be either atheist, Theravada Buddhist, or scientologist. Almost every other religion has some basis in deities.

They want to believe there is no God. This way there is no accountability. But I believe they must believe to some extent, otherwise why do they try so hard to convince believers that there is no God? If they truly didn't believe, then they wouldn't bother believers ( as it would be a waste of time).

They believe (have faith) in themselves and man in general. Basically they believe in the "created" not the Creator.

We all have to start somewhere.........you gotta crawl before you walk.......you know.
