So, I have no idea what religion I am. One minute I belive some words of the bible & the next I pray to god to keep me safe and then other day's I feel like there is no God. I guess I'm just confused with religion. I don't beleive in all of the chrisian bible but alot of the stuff in there I do belive in. Could someone have a christian religon and disagree with some of the stuff in the bible?? Thanks

Yup, it sounds like your playing both sides. You should try figuring it out through education(Philosophy, Anthropology, Science, History, etc.)

Since I don't agree that any one religion is a one-size-fits-all, I do think that you can be Christian and still disagree with certain things in the bible. After all - it's interpretation of the same book that makes all the different denominations, right? Don't worry too much about picking an exact "label" for yourself.

I used to be just like that...calling myself an atheist one minute and praying to God for help in the next. Finally, I just tried asking God to take the hurt and the pain and the confusion away, and I BELIEVED He would. And He did. It's still hard sometimes, especially in the world today, but I don't feel alone anymore, and that's what I was looking for in the first place.

YES, YES and again YES!
Most Christian's do disagree with ALOT of Things in the Bible.
The enemy uses that to KEEP us APART.
It is Called the Winds of Doctrines.
If two Christians agree on Who Jesus Is (and are Saved) they can Disagree on Parts of the Bible, get in a fuss and even get Mad at Each Other.
That is Why there are so many Churches!
the enemy Seperates us from comning together as the Family of GOD.
The enemy works on us Personally too.
With Thoughts and Feelings.
Keep asking GOD in Jesus Name to Keep you outta all Deception, Keep Reading your Bible and Praying, and Keep on Believing!
(Teaching CD's help too, Kenneth Copeland, is one of the Best Christian Teachers.)
Hope this helps.

"THE WORD BECAME FLESH"
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God (John 1:1). Jesus is the Word. The Word is God's heart. You cannot pick and choose what you want to believe from the Bible. God is NOT a liar! Just because you don't believe it does not mean that it isn't true.

Of course you are confused, the texts in the bible were written by the disciples and the bible was put together by a Roman, Emporer Constantine in 4AD. So how could it possibly be the true and original texts? Believe in what you feel inside because you feel it and know its true, always question things that way you will learn alot.

Please understand one thing: no two Christians (or any religion for that matter) are alike. How you believe or live your religion is unique to you. I know Christians who claim to know (not just believe) about reincarnation first hand. Yet, they carry on as Christians, and it does not bother them a bit.

Secondly, there is no perfect Christian because nothing and no one can be perfect here.

So if Christianity is your chosen path, go ahead and live it the way you can. Don't judge yourself harshly; if you think you have not done so well today, then tomorrow try again.

Sure they could. You should get to know God's word and then decide for yourself. He will help you to decide. I don't believe you want to listen to some of the misguided folks on here though as they are merely trying to discourage everyone they can. God has shown me who He is through many miraculous happenings and He will reveal Himself to you if you have faith. He loves you like a mother loves a newborn infant. Never give up seeking Him.
