Who broke the trust? Are their children involved?
If you truly want this relationship, the person who broke the trust must be accountable at all times. He/she must be able to be reached at all times and keep the other person informed of where they will be at all times. No excuses. If the untrusted wants to keep the relationship they must agree to this. If they have nothing to hide this is NOT a problem. One does not have to learn to trust them again. THEY have to show they can be trusted no matter how long it takes. They broke a trust. And they have to know and believe the burden IS ON THEM. Taking two years to trust again is NOT unreasonable.
If you are under 25 with no children connected with each other , GET OUT, MOVE ON.

Forget it, move on, become a better person having learned from that relationship, meet somebody new when you are over the previous relationship.

Don't do anything you regret this time.
