LOL. Smart girl. Someone posted "Dating in Highschool is a dress rehersal.."

Dating is a way to gain expereince with the opposite sex and figure out what is is you are looking for. What you will and won't put up with.

That's why highschool relationships don't last. You all don't know enough about yourselves... So, dating is not about love. Dating is about making friends. Gaining confidence with each other.

Love at first sight? No such thing. Love is, friendship, communication, compromise, cooperation, commitment, trust, honesty, respect. You don't get all that at first sight.

"Love at first sight" is really "Attraction at first sight". That is not to say that two people who are attracted to each other can't fall in love. But everything has to work. They both need to be attracted to each other. They need to have the same life goals...

And that takes time.

Hey, enjoy your youth. Don't take it too seriously. Sounds like you may be more mature than your peers. You're lucky. Maybe you can evade the heart ache and pain and learn from the mistakes of others. Take your time and the right guy will come along.

Good luck.

A~

I agree there are those adult men that in basic terms desire rapid flings and/or are in basic terms searching for intercourse, yet there are a number of others that desire severe relationships too. I for one, got here upon a astounding boyfriend in basic terms final 12 months (i'm now a senior) he's the sweetest guy ever, a real gents, by no potential pressures me approximately something, and we've no longer had intercourse yet the two. it is not all each and every guy needs. So i might say particular, dating in severe college is effective. yet extremely get to comprehend a man or woman till now you get severe and if he starts off doing issues you do unlike (eating, flirting with others etc) consult from him. If he extremely cares, he will fix issues for you. If no longer, you already know he's no longer extremely worth a while.

Dating in high school isn't COMPLETELY pointless... although I do find it pretty pointless. LOL.

In high school, you are trying to find out who you are and what kind of person you want to end up marrying someday. It's a lot of exploring.

Most couples don't make it through high school. They are too young and immature to know what it takes for a real relationship to last. But very rarely, high school sweethearts do get married and grow old together. But it's not common.

I know what you mean. I never dated in high school, but I had plenty of crushes--all of which are long gone. In high school, I think it's better to just hang around with friends of both sexes and not worry about dating. People should wait until they get past high school to start getting serious.
