This is a starting dosage for Paxil. This dosage can work for some but you'll have to give it about 3 weeks. If you don't feel any effect or not enough benefit, report this to your prescriber. You may need an increase to achieve a therapeutic dosage.

Higher doses (up to 40 mg/day) have been used, but side effects (sedation, weight gain, sexual) can really become problematic as the dose increases.
