Has anyone heard of or tried a recipe for bluegill eggs? I hear they are great fried. I always just threw them out. Spawning season is only a few months away.

Of course,
You could stir some fresh-cooked roe into your hushpuppy batter and I sometimes do, but it’s far from a routine practice. Whenever I am blessed with fresh roe I start planning uses for it, because I consider fresh roe a delicacy matched only by the catch-of-the-day itself.

Or you can just fry it up while cooking your 'gills.

Man that's good eating.
