You're absolutely right, there should be a Super Heavyweight division. Valuev who's boxing skills are that of your average novice division Golden Glover, wouldn't be in the top 50 if he weighed least 220 ponds.
With the Klitschkos, that's a different story, although they are big for heavyweights, they're not side how "BIG" like Valuev. Heck, Wladimir gets caught on knocked down more than any Heavyweight in the top ten so the playing ground is indeed somewhat equal. Any fighter over 250 pounds should be a Super Heavyweight.
This sport has always been made up of weights, nowhere in all the divisions is the weight difference so drastic than it is in the Heavyweight division. It becomes a matter of the saftey of the fighters. When Barrett fought Valuev he was outweighed by almost a 100 pounds. Imagine Marco Antonio Barrera fighting James Toney, same thing.
Thanks for the great question Ric.

For safety sake I believe the commissions should look into this. The other divisions are fine. But heavyweights are getting bigger and bigger could you imagine the danger of a 215 pounder against say another heavyweight hitting the toledos at say 300 pounds. Sooner or later somebody in that division is going to get hurt. The next question will it make boxing better I myself doubt it.But for safety sake I would accept it.

The 140lb (and there abouts) branch is the place this is all happening..Historicallylly it has continuously been a warm spot of expertise. although... The heavyweight branch: as quickly as in each and every 15yrs something stirs the heavyweight branch... Tyson became into the final perfect ingredient to blast his way in the path of the ranks, we at the instant are late somebody thrilling to hold the torch returned... Wilder ain't that guy..... Fury probably ain't that guy..... cost is unproven at this point so some distance.... Mitchell.... The jury continues to be out in this guy.... possibly David Haye will could desire to strategies the keep till the hot guy turns up......??

No. Guys like James Toney, Roy Jones and Chris Byrd prove otherwise.
The last thing boxing needs is another division and three more 'champions.' It would dilute the history and respect proferred the heavyweight division, also.

There's a super heavy division in the amateurs, so I say why not. Modern day athletes are getting bigger. Just a thought but why not make it over 260?

No there should not be a super heavy weight division if you weigh more than 175lbs. you are a heavy weight I don,t like the cruiser weights because they are to lazy to lose weight and fight at light heavy weight I fought at light heavy weight and there is a big difference between the two

If it were up to me, I would make less weight divisions. Take about half of them away.
