About an hour and a half depending what route/stops. Its a lot cheaper to drive there than get the train. But its up to you which is best for you.

About 1.5 hours, maybe cheaper to drive but if you book far enough in advance you can get fares as cheap as GBP12.50 each way (Virgin Value Advance C) so it can be cheaper to go by rail.
