Try using skin care products that don't contain any oil or fillers so your pores can clean out. If your products contain oil, all the dirt and grime from the day stick to your face, which is what gives it that dirty, oily look and feel. Be sure to cleanse your face twice each day (morning and evening) and also use a toner. Masquing a couple of times each week would be a great idea too, as well as exfoliating a couple times each week. Check out L'Bri Pure n' Natural Skin Care, it's the best. Aloe based with no harsh chemicals or oil. It's reasonably priced and they offer free shipping.....suenelson.lbri.com. You'll love it!

I am an Aesthetician and a Medical Assistant in a Medical spa.
You need to control the amount of oil by balancing your skin's oil production. After many years of the same issue I have come across these answers:
Dermatologists can tell you what is going on with your skin, but they know nothing about product. Even Retin-A, has harsh chemicals in it that irritate the skin. Find a good medical grade product by researching it yourself and keep asking questions.
I have found VIVANT skin care is the best for all sorts of issues. It was developed by the co-founder of Benzoyl Peroxide.
For oil control use Benzoyl Peroxide washes. They have a Mandelic Acid toner and serum that works great to control Oil, hyperpigmentations and kills bacteria. Toner also help regulate the PH of your skin.
Also, wash your face 2 times a day and stay away from Iodine. It is the only true thing that aggrivates acne and oil production.
Please also increase your water intake and balance your diet. More Veggies and Fruit! That helps maintatin your body's true chemical balance.

You should wash your face twice a day: in the morning and before bed. Use an exfolliant, St. Ives makes an Apricot Scrub that is very inexpensive and works quite well. You can follow up with an astringent if it's not enough and then use an oil-free moisturizer. That will keep your skin clear.

i know what u mean this is what u should do, wash ur face with an oil control face wash, and apply face mask everyday or if u want u can apply matt(multani miti) it cools ur face and dries the oil for the day. and apply proactiv or anything with benzyol peroxide over the oily or pimple area. but u can even put a little mask on the oily area and walk around in the house

same problem was with me..i use to wash my face as many times as it got dirty.(only with water, no soap etc), now it has become less oily. By the way whats your age? I think it decreases as u grow older. it is prominent in teen age and decreases as u grow old. My suggestion...don't spoil your skin using too much soap or cosmetics. Just wash with water whenever u feel its oily.....Worked for me
