I love my cats character and her behavior.
She is getting very old.
What do i need to do to clone her in the future? , IF such a thing be permitted sometime during my life time.
Do i need a blood sample? Dna sample? what would i need?
I am not crazy i just love her. She is the reason why i love switched from loving dogs to loving cats more.

Cloning would only reproduce your cat's looks-- if you love her character and behavior cloning will do nothing.

Also, that technology is not yet available to the public market-- it's is still a scientific practice that is still sketchy and many things could go wrong.

The best thing you could do is to let nature take it's course and move on when your cat dies.

Even if you had the resorces to clone your cat you're just cloning her dna NOT her personality. You know what they say about cats. They recemble their owners. So love your kitty as much as you can while you have her and then after she is gone find another kitty to let into your heart.

I have wondered this question too. I have an older dog that is a rare breed, a mixed breed that cannot be identified by anyone.
Maybe that's God saying, "There will never be another Guido."

Not sure if I would do it. I would love to but something feels a little unnatural about it. (maybe)

I'll be reading answers, it's a very interesting topic.

Good Luck to you and kitty

You could not clone it yourself. I doubt if even a regular vet could do it. Remember a cloned animal/ person is not the same as the other. We are what we are because of our experiences, our education, our socialization etc.

unless you are only 3 years of age now and plan on living to 200 or more then save yourself a job,it will not be possible in our lifetime.

they are already cloning cats....several people have had it done, but it is expensive. They need cells from your cats stomach lining.
