AVG will automatically scan then when they download, so you don't have to worry about it. It will also scan them when you open them too.

You are usually safe with music files if a virus is detected avg will automatically delete you can scan after the download but being as these files are not programes you are safe. i would be more careful with larger files tho especially software if you want a good site for safe music i recommend http://www.torrentspy.com/ its free and you can read what other users thought about the item. If your anti-virus does scan them ,i allways scan them BEFORE i open or try to play them. after i have downloaded.

MP3 files (If used correctly) cannot contaminate your PC with viruses (They cant propogate anyway)
