Norton anti-virus not free or E-trust EZ that is free! I have E-trust Ez and it is great and free. Also never had any problems with limewire viruses. I have used limewire for years. You need adware and spyware too. I have Ad-adware SE ( free) and Spybot (free). Download these and run them after downloading music.

i use avg free edition. it always alerts me before i open a program that there is a threat there. limewire is scary. one day i went crazy and downloaded so much crap. when i did a virus scan almost all the programs i downloaded were infected. i've never had a problem downloading music, just programs. be very careful. oh yeah. don't download those URGENT UPDATE things. they are just viruses.
p.s. i uninstalled limewire a couple weeks ago. for some reason a bunch of porn and random things were being dumped into my computer. you have to make sure your connection is closed when you are not using it.

Change to using Shareazza instead - it has zero viruses and trojan horses installed with it, and works well with Outpost Firewall Pro, Comodo Firewall, Comodo AntiVirus, AVG AntiVirus, CounterSpy, XoftSpy and others.

avg free is a very good av, also if you only download music off of limewire you will not likely get a virus the files are to small for a virus.But watch out downloading anything else becuz you might get some.

norton is a good antivirus protection but there is stuff out there called spyware and u will want to get an older version of adware then there is also hijacker ware so u will want to get hijack this
