You need to secure it to something that is more solid. And it wouldnt hurt to put a fuse on it.

If it's sparking the connection is bad or intermittent. You need to attach the ground wire to a squeeze on terminal then secure it to the frame with a screw (or use a screw already in the frame.) The current surges associated with sparking could blow your system.

now that U got a bumpin' audio system, i thought you'd want it to spark.
