Sure, Its when you do something incredibly stupid like break up with your gf or significant other over some really stupid thing and then you paint yourself in a corner since you can't call her because of your pride.

cant explain the definition but will give an example....

Someone rents a whole house because they think they are too good to live in an apartment, but really, they cant afford the rent for the house and go without other things in order to compensate. It would have been better to rent the apartment but their foolish pride wouldnt allow them to do that.

...Yeah!!!...It's being too self centered to admit you were wrong about something seriously! Go admit your faults...and get passed this moment with your woman. I'd rather be a little bit embarrassed and admit I was wrong...then lose the lover of a lifetime over silly embarrassing crap. Get real with yourself first...and then everyone else in the equation. Honesty is always the best policy....even if it hurts your stubborn pride a little bit. Get busy partner.

yah, is something my dad tells me i have everday
it is bascially meaning ur stupid for behaving the way u are.
more than likely ur excuse for something is telling someone that u wont do it becuase of pride, and obviously what u dont want to do doesnt make sense to them so they are calling u an idiot.
Just ignore them, and do whatever it is u believe is right.
