Because those countries have propaganda machines that use America as a scapegoat for all of their problems. (Sounds like most of Europe - right?)

The big reason that they hate us is the same reason thugs hate police. We keep them from harming their neighbors.

That's a good question.. the answer would have to lie somewhere in this:

Iraqi's, Korean's, or any other nationality for that matter are HUMAN, just like any American. We are all people bound by the same basic priniciples.

Now why would a rational human begin to dislike Americans? Why would them having a distaste for American 'democracy' as someone answered here label them as a terrorist?

Perhaps the best people to ask would be someone from Iraq or Korea. My suggestion is make sure it's a citizen of the country - you'd probably find that American citizens and Iraqi citizens are similar; The primary difference being that Iraqi's have their own version of CNN and FOX that tell them to hate Americans just as the American networks propagate how anyone with colored skin from the Middle East is probably a terrorist.

Seek out the truth yourself, rather than just asking a generalized question - you'd find that non-American's (like myself) don't dislike Americans - we sometimes wonder what the leaders of your country are up to, but as people we're probably very much the same.

I will not go into why anyone from Iraq would hate us, but for one point," I do not blame the Iraqui p[eople for doing so."
As fro Korea! What Agreeemtn diod the Soviets and the Western powers enter into at end of WWII in regards to Korea and Viet nam?
Ever hear mention of elections promised by both sides for eventual integration of boht halves ?
Well tha is exactily what was promised but guess who did not like the way the votes would of turned out, and refused to allow them.
When it cam eup in the United Nations three countries. England France and US said no in the security council resolution. France still wante control of Viet cambodia Laos etc and installed brutal dictaros, not theat the French wer any less brutal whole in the North Viet anm Uncle HO was one hell of a lot less viscious and would of won elect4ion handily. In fact his leters and such he loved he US constitution until we took over by a failed French cause.
In LKorea we had set up a dictator who ran country as a buisness, a US buisness, no freedom of spepch , made his people work same as in North today and the North decided what the hel , the N. was still then and today is living in the old Empire of Koreas Dynasty mentality.
Fear of comunism and led by our own greed we killed in Korea millions and flattened the whole country to damn near the Chinese border. Read the history of the Seventh C;aavary of custer fame acton in korea especially the time they deliberaely opened fire upon and slaughteresd over 2000 innocent civilians.(that was only one such incidnece and it was just an example of many times. All Koreans were treated as animals and especially the women. And I do mean flattend, No home without bullet holes crops and fields poisoned by artillary etc. People moving up and down country roads used as target practice by both N. and S. americans even unot today still cannot be forgiven by many S. Koreans never mind the North.

You just asked a mouthful.
I suppose, in reality, the answer would be different depending on who you ask (in those countries, that is). No one in America can truely know the difference.
I can tell you this, I was deployed to Guantanamo Bay and what I learned there was that the terrorists do not hate our way of life, they only hate our foreign policy. Think about it, do you give a crap how the people live in some other country thousands of miles away from you? The only time we really care is when it starts to affect the way we live here. What makes you think they are any different?
I would suggest you get on a forum with people from those regions, and ask them. They will give you a much more accurate answer. If you got on Yahoo Ask and asked, "Why doesn't Kittiesandsparkleythings like asparagus?" you wouldn't get as good of an answer as you would if you just asked me yourself. If you message me, I can give you a link to a good forum with a bunch of people from all over the world on it, mostly people from the middle east. They enjoy talking politics and life with who ever.
Good luck!

Simple answer: 'cause they were taught to hate us.

North Korea like any other Communist state has to speak the party line when it comes to any form of government that is different from theirs. The U.S. being the only super power left and an ally of South Korea, gets a 2 fer. The Korean government has to spew out hate, as to try to indoctrinate their people that we are evil. Person to person, the common North Korean would most likely be like the average U.S. person.

I don't believe most Iraqis hate us just the militants. Those folks don't like us being allies with Isreal. Arabs being arabs, this hate they have will last eons.

We haven't exactly done anything to encourage their friendship. Our president named these two countries as two parts of "The Axis of Evil" in his first Inaugural speech. How would you feel to be branded EVIL without any reason? In the case of Iraq, we invaded their country for what turns out to have been no good reason and trashed their electric, water, transportation and communication systems. I don't think I'd care for a country who did that to me.

They are either terrorists (in the case of Iraq) or communists (in the case of Korea) and they hate Democracy and our way of life.
