My school offers food like this, and we eat it once day, but I am wondering what would be the healthier choice?

Four chicken fingers (Not cooked in grease..microwave heated)

Two slices of Pizza (made with cheese, tomato sauce and pepperoni, no other toppings.)

Oh yeah, I should have mentioned that I don't excerise...

They offer cookies and cereal though, I could choose those, though the type of each is randomly selected per day.

There is probably more protein in the chicken fingers and less carbs. So I would say that the chicken fingers are healthier.

Neither is particularly healthy like everyone else has said. I would take the pizza because its more than just protein and fat. The chicken fingers is most definately processed meat and that stuff is never good for you. The pizza has carbs for energy and tomato sauce at the very least. A balanced diet is what matters the most and you're not getting it with those choices. If you could bring fruit for lunch or a healthier sandwich that would be great. The amount of fat in both items is particularly high, unless you are on a sports team or just fairly active - then you need whatever you can get.

Eating healthy is more than just A or B. It's also about how your body is using what you just ate. If you dont exercise, those are some crap choices for food and you should let your school know that.

Actually pizza is not a bad choice. It has more veggies than is generally realized (tomato sauce, for one, even if it is not a veggie pizza). With cheese and pepperoni it is a high fat food, but balance that with the fiber in the veggie part and the bread in the crust and it is a rather nutritious meal.

The chicken fingers--as at least you get some protein from the chicken (pepperoni has none, and contains preservatives). Hopefully, they give you salad or fruit with these. Even though they are microwave re-heated, they were still fried at some point--so they're not real healthy--but more so than pepperoni.

neither!! have you considered bringing your own lunch to school if you are looking for more nutritious choices?? also, bring up your lack of healthy choices to a city councel person or your state's senator. there are AMAZING school lunch programs that are dedicated to serving healthy choices and they don't cost any more than the junk that they're currently serving you. take a stand...get several friends together and don't eat the food. if enough people do it, your school would be forced to listen to you and change the program!! just b/c you are young doesn't mean you don't have a choice. stand up for yourself!!

I'd vote for the pizza, only with cheese and without the pepperoni. More protein and less fat!

I would eat one o those once or twice a week and the other once or twice a week and bring my lunch some. Variety is good. I would add a fresh fruit to either of those for a better balanced diet, and some milk.

Pizza would be because it includes all the food groups.

Neither is all that healthy however.
