I went to a concert with a group of friends over the weekend and realized that I really liked one of the guys we went with. I emailed him today and asked if he wanted to go see a movie sometime, and we settled on going next Wednesday during the day. I don't know if this is considered a date or not. He's 15 years older if that makes any difference. Is he thinking it's a date? How do I tell if he's interested or not? Do I let him make the next move? I haven't had to deal with this in 4 years! Help!

I would say it's a date. See if he pays, then you will know for sure.

Okay wait he's 15 years older then you ??? Whoa, age ain't nothing but a number, but do you really think you two can hit it off ?? It'd be hard, in my eyes, to find something in common to talk about. Anyways, as far as making the next move, strictly up to you. You can ask him if he considers your movie a date. You can ask the guy if he's interested in you and make it a general topic of conversation or if your not ballsy enough, go on your date, see if you two hit it off, if he calls you back and asks you to go somewhere 9 times out of 10, he's into you. Everything is basically in your hands though. If your interested in him, let him know but be prepared, he may not and just want to be friends which isn't bad. You can also pay attention to his body language. If let's say you two go to the movies and then the next weekend, both of you end up going to the movies with all your friends, pay attention to what he does. Does he sit next to you, does he practicially ignore you ??

If you asked him to go out with you one-on-one it's a date.

i think you should think about these questions AFTER you go out and see the movie with him. i mean if he opens doors, treats you to the movie, asks to have dinner after stuff like that.. feel the vibe and then ask yourself. who knows what is going to happen you know?
