What do people mean when they say & UR GONNA JUST SIT THERE & LET THEM TALK 2 U LIKE TRASH/PUNCH U, etc.?

Does that mean that I should say something back or hit that person back or ignore them or report the situation? When I don't do anything about the verbal or physical abuse or if I report it, people call me stupid & say I sat there & LET them hurt me. But then when I defend myself, I'm wrong for retaliation & suffer worse consequences than the person who cursed me out or hit me first. Some people encourage me to hit that person back, but I know it's wrong to hit back.

If you are being bullied, or hassled, its not your problem, its THEIR problem. report it. dont dirty your hands on these imbeciles. in society it is not acceptable for any one to treat others without respect you deserve. you are not stupid.

you should never hit back unless actively defending yourself, it promotes escallation of violence. it's often more frustrating for the taunter (and more satisfying for you) to show that their insults are benieth you, without going down to their level. you are stronger for showing restraint and it is a much more admirable quality than force.
dont let anyone punch you without reporting it.

those people just want to see some action, dont fall for it, just ignore it.
if you fight, it will just cause more shxt and you dont want that.

but if someone IS talking shxt, you have to defend yourself.
but if everyone is just saying that and youre not sure if it's true or not, dont do anything.
