Your in a bar with your girlfriends with no intention of "hooking up" with anyone. Is it wrong to "make up" things about yourself to be silly....for instance..give a different name, job, etc...or is it deceitful to a guy who is interested in you?

The only problem I can see with it is,,,If you eventually change your mind and hook up with that guy, Then that makes you a liar !So I would be careful with that one, even with playful intentions sometimes lies can come back to you when you least expect them !

It sounds like something that would be funny to talk about with your friends afterward (Ha ha ha that guy actually believed my name was Cher and that my brothers name is Sonny. LMAO) But you might have some explaining to do if you ever run into the guy somewhere else. So maybe not such a good idea.

I think it's fine, I've done it before. but make sure you'll have no intentions of making things last, that could be disasterous. I've done it before to guys in bars who I just wanted to talk to, but were a little leary of. False info can keep you safe from kreepy strangers...

You can do whatever you want to. But why not just tell him your not interested. Its hard enough for me to get the courage to go up to a girl and start up a conversation without worrying if she is gonna make a fool of me or lead me on.

who cares! yeah go for it! hell, you never know who's in a bar and they could be weirdos so fake names are an awesome idea.... unless of course you are looking for someone to hook up with. In that case, then you come off as a liar right of the bat. so for fun purposes, go for it... for serious stuff, i'd decide against it.

It's F'ing twisted and the reason there's not many nice guys left out there.
Eventually they all get tired of being lied to and used, and start treating girls like they they've been treated.

It's all in fun... The guy that is trying to hook up with you isn't that into you, he doesn't know anything about you... so it's not hurting anyone..
