It depends on your age really. As we age, women can get little bulges of fat here and there which no amount of diet or excercise can get rid of. One place is the area on the lower abdomen, usually right around or just below the belly button. If you are accumulating fat here, yet are slender everywhere else, then there may be nothing you can do except for liposuction. If you've tried months of crunches and starving yourself and still have that little belly, then it may never go away.

I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.
I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.
It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.
Get started today!

Crunches and situps are your best bet for getting your stomach muscles in shape.
You should also do some cardio to get your heart rate up and burn calories. Even if you don't eat much, you should pay attention to what you are eating, however I tend to hold to the belief that as long as you work out regularly that you can eat pretty much whatever you want.
Go for a short jog or ride a bicycle (better because it doesn't involve as much impact on your joints). The better shape you get into, the more fat your body will burn even when just sitting there.
As far as the exercises are concerned:
Crunches: start by laying on your back, and then pull your knees up, and then curl your back and try to touch your knees with your head. Then lay back down slowly. Do this over and over, go slow to get more burn - you should feel your abs burning after doing a few of them. If not - then do more, or do them slower and really curl up.
Then lay on your back again, and try lifting your legs up (while keeping them straight) about 5-6 inches off the floor and keep them there. It should start burning after a few seconds. Hold them for as long as you can, and then lower them. Do that a few times.
There are a couple different kinds of situps - start by crossing your arms in front of you whlie laying on your back. Scoot your feet towards your butt so your knees are up in the air. Sit straight up quickly, and then lay down slowly. After doing some of these, then try rotating and touching the opposite knee with your elbow. This hits different muscles.
These are simple ones you can start with, make sure to do your cardio though, because building muscle is only half the fight. You will notice a lot of difference if you stick to it. Do lots of reps of the exercises for the best results.

One a diet will be good. Stay away from fried foods or anything else that can be fatty cuz they will just increase your gut. Then do a moderate amount of cardio, but dont overwork yourself. Crunches also do some good. While your watching tv or just chillin around the house, do crunches, you wont even notice the time go by.

Crunches always work! You don't have to spend hundreds of hours in the gym a week to lose weight. All you need to do for the "muffin top" disorder, (not that you have a muffin top) is lay on the floor and do bicycle crunches. So you lay flat on the floor, bend you knees and lift your shoulders off the floor, then go elbow to opposite knee so it makes your abs do a lower pivot motion that tighten that up. This is just one way, there are plenty of exercises that dint even require you to lay on the floor.

If you want to get rid of it you'll have to change your diet. Excercise doesn't work as well unless you incorporate diet.
lots of stir fry cooked in Grapeseed or Extra virgin olive oil. Cut out soda coffee and desert you'll see results quickly.
Also eat six small meals a day.
Crunchees are really good also if you can use the balance ball that thing really works the abs.
This is what has worked for me. Good luck.

Planks. It's like a push up, but instead of pushing yourself up with your hands, you are on your bent elbows and toes...keep your back straight, hold for a count of twelve, repeat 4 to six times. and there is the ever popular crunches
