No it doesn't. First off, drug addicts don't talk that way about their addiction. Second, drug addiction has consistent, observable deleterious effects on the body while religion does not.

Some drugs can give u a spirtual experience like enthegenics like mescaline or mushrooms. Or some sythcetic drugs like acid can as well
