im not sure why it is...but lately i keep having these weird feelings inside me.
you know when, you're excited or nervous about something and your stomach does a flip or it feels like butterflys or a nervous jolt in your heart... well, i keep getting that every now and again, and im not even thinking about anything in particular, and im not in any particular excitable mood.
do i have anxiety problems? i dont feel any different, but every now and again i keep getting nervous jolts about something and it feels neither positive or negative...so what is it??

Hi. Being a qualified psychiatric nurse i hope i can help. The thing that stands out to me is you don't know why you feel like this. If you don't have any other symptoms eg. high blood pressure or are not taking medication then we can almost certainly rule out physiological problems. It seems to be psycholical. No you are not going mad either. The answer i feel lies in your subconcious. Has something happened recently or is going to happen that you have no control over? think hard. If there was something or is something then this will explain what is happening. The mind is a very powerful thing. And repressed thoughts can be very damaging. It might be worth seeking further advice via a school counsellor / nurse or your g.p. But please dont get hooked on medication to calm yourself. G.Ps have a habit of throwing these to people as an easy option. Try some meditation or relaxation exercises. Try and find the trigger. But if it is repressed in yor sub con. then it will take a while to resolve itself. But it will eventually go so don't panic if it lasts for a while longer. good luck and good health....P

It could be an adrenaline rush which is commonly felt as butterflies or heart rate increase. We can feel this at many different times, and in 'adrenaline junkie' culture we can get a rush out of so many different situations that many seemingly normal and 'unexciting' phenomena can trigger adrenaline to be released in a similar manner as when Pavolv's dog began salivating when the bell was rung (google Pavlovs dog if you don't know about this). Maybe you enjoy the rush you feel when you watch a scary movie, and so you get the same rush when you see your mate wearing a scary mask, but this example is too obvious, what I am saying is that the things triggering your 'rush' you refer to in your question are maybe more subtle and go unnoticed by you.

i get like that occasionally. i passed out when i was pregnant due to a panic attack that i did'nt realise i was having at the time. when i looked really closely at everything going on in my life, i could see that things were just getting too much, even though i had no idea i wasn't coping. there i was in ASDA, deciding what chocolate to have, and flop. it might be an idea to sit down and think if you are really happy with the situations etc you have in your life right now.
the other thing brought to mind is palpatations, are you having these? because if you really are not worried about stuff and you are having them, you will need to see a doctor. this is your heart litterally skipping a beat then catching up. good luck.

It is surprising how much your mind effects your body, even when you are un aware of it. There is part of your mind that you really have not control of, or even aware of, that is the part that can effect your well being. Go have a chat with your GP, he will most probably go through a process of elimination with you.
Get it before it gets you! Good luck.

Sounds like panic attacks to me.However to rule out other possible causes, see your Doctor.Do you do drugs? If you have diabetes, have your glucose/insulin levels assessed.Do you eat a good diet? Or are you anaemic? Whatever it is I hope you manage to resolve your problem, good luck.

Please go to your Dr's and tell them about it. Everyone on here means well ( nearly everyone), but only a face to face with a Dr will give a chance to explore all your symptons and give you some really useful help.
Take care, go as soon as you can.
