I am a guy. She is my friend of several years, and lately, we have gotten really close. She shares everything with me! Anyway, she told me in a recent email that she does not want to live here anymore, but she wants to live anywhere than where she is living currently. She also said she does not mind living in this state though. I just thought her telling me that was interesting. Why did she want me to know that?

Because if you guys are really close maybe there was something great about the place she lived before but she didn't want anyone but you to know for some reason.

Hoping you feel the same way probably.
If so, then you are likely to be more interested in her cause your interests are alike....
....hopefully, leading to something bigger like a relationship, and then getting married, and moving to this place where she wants to live, and starting a family, and naming the firstborn......

basically she wants to let you know thats she wants to be independent in the future by moving outta state , with or without you
