First of all, CONGRATULATIONS.
some people start bying thing immediately some don't want because of superstition that something might go wrong.
lt's up to you, l think.
There is magazines for pregnant women. You might find what you need there.
All the best. And let us now when the baby arrives.

I would advise against not starting too early, wait till at least the first trimester is over. The reason is if you start early, you might end up loads of stuff because to be honest every time you go to the shops you would have an urge to buy something for little baby plus baby things are so cute and hard to resist.

Once the first trimester is over, most women feel stronger and no longer suffer morning sickness, there is still time for you to buy things so don’t rush. Congratulations and all the best.

When I had my first child I couldn't wait to buy things for the baby. I had so much stuff. Are you going to find out the sex of your baby? For me that was important so that I could buy Blue or Pink! Keep in mind your baby shower gifts also. You don't want to over buy.
I'm having my 3rd child on March 14th and I just started buying things for this baby.
It is all your personal preference.

What you need is a lot of clothes! Babies are messy!!
There are a lot of things that you could buy for a baby but most of it you don't need. Google for best and worst baby items.

Good Luck!

Hmmm tricky one this...maybe you feel like many mums, a bit worried about starting now incase (heaven forbid) something should go wrong. Some even go as far to say that its bad luck to buy anything before the baby is born....whoever came up with that? yeah right, its about as practical as keeping your umbrella in your bag when your out in the rain!! Im 15 weeks and last week I bought my first purchase...a set of socks and a pack of vests....scared me a bit, kinda makes it all real !! I think its a personal choice about when to start...perhaps just go with your own feelings and start when you are ready. As for what you'll need, depends on if the baby is going to have everything there is to have or if you are doing it on a budget? Flick through some baby mags and make a list! Congrats on the pregnancy x

well you have loads to buy if in britain you will get a pack when you visit the midwife and also a voucher that can get you a bounty pack that tells you everything you need to buy. it is upto you when you want to start buying it is an exciting time and i bought one thing when i found out i was pregnant (a tiny tshirt) but left everything else until after my 12 week scan but some people are superstitious and say it is bad luck to have anything in the house before the baby is born? which i think is old fashioned personally
congratulations
good luck

some people dont start buying til ur first trimester is over (12 weeks) because you have less chance of misscarge (i didnt spell that right but you know what i mean) i would start saving now and when you have had your scan shop shop shop if you get a mothercare catalogue then on the back is a check list of the things you need but there is more to buy there just the basics but its a good start. congrats on the baby

Some people (including myself) would not like to tempt fate and don't buy anything until the baby is born. I know others who, as soon as they found out the gender, immediately went and bought clothes etc. To be fair, all you probably need is a couple of blankets first of all and then once you know everything is safe and sound, friends and relatives bring round clothes etc.

I'd start buying things for the baby now, you can never start too early, I waited with my first baby and I was a busy little bee the last 2 months of my pregnancy. and congrats on the baby!

Dont tempt fate by starting buying stuff now. I did this and unfortunately it didnt work out for me

Wait until your past the 3 month stage. Then start buying vests, sleepsuits and bibs, loads of them!! you can never have enough of these essentials.

Good luck x

i would wait until 6-8 months because of the miscarriage rate of first time mothers. God Forbid this happens to you-good luck and have fun while shopping. Also, Congrats.
