Should I tell this guy I like him or ask him to prom first?

he's already my friend so it's not like i'd just be asking a random stranger.

tell him you like him... then find out if he has a date to prom.. if not ask him!!!! ASAP before any one eles asks him!!!

Tell him you like him first. If you just ask him out of the blue to prom he might be a little turned off. Get to know him, and tell him how you feel, if he feels the same, great, if not, then you wont have to worry about asking him to prom.

rule #1 - get him alone. do not bring this up in front of his friends, epecially guy friends.

guys do NOT like to talk about emotions. they don't really understand them, even their own, so they don't talk about them ESPECIALLY with or in front of other guys. if need be, say, can i have a word? and pull him away from his friends.

rule # 2 - be confident

this is going to freak him out. all you can do about that is behave like it doesn't matter. if you walk up to him looking terrified then that feeling will be reflected in him. he will be afraid of how to react in case of upsetting you. so you must have an heir of confidence to you.

rule # 3 - don't pressure him to reply.

if he has said nothing after 2 seconds, those will have been the longest 2 seconds of his life. so you say 'ok just thought you'd like to know' and walk away. this will give him the time and space he needs to gather his thoughts and figure out how to react to what you've just said.

seriously, do this. tell him you like him, give him two seconds, no more, give a parting comment, and walk away.
he will say something next time you see him.

prom first. then when he says yes, u can CASUALLY bring up that fact. but prom first cuz there is that chance that he'll say no, but think POSITIVE!!!!
