This may sound weird but I am a muslim and some of these things they do sicken me. The treatment of women, suicide bombers, some traditions they follow (Shiite holiday where everyone cuts themselves on the forehead even to younger children) Why is it that they cannot change. Even if you look at their countries, many parts are third world. I thought that I want others point of view.

I still will be a muslim but there are things I dont agree with. Commenting on my own religion is not offensive especially when all of these things are true. If you think women are treated fairly then you are way off. In the M.E. women are only seen as tools, that do not have any freedom. Why is that if she gets raped she would be stoned also. Or they can be beaten and whatever by their husbands while they have nothing to do against it.

Islam used to be the center of art and science, but tribal warfare and fundamental fanaticism have reduced Islam to a third world culture. In a way, Christianity went through a similar phase during the feudalism and Inquisitions of the Middle Ages. Maybe Islam will eventually move forward, too, when it's leaders realize the waste and futility of the present course.

My friend these are problems of what I call cultural Islam, where people have fused their culture with the religion. Shiite is just wrong. As a fellow Muslim, I too find these acts appalling. Nowhere in the Qur'an does it tell us to cut ourselves or blow ourselves up. In fact it says the opposite.
Qur'an - 4.92-93
[4.92] - And it does not behoove a believer to kill a believer except by mistake, and whoever kills a believer by mistake, he should free a believing slave, and blood-money should be paid to his people unless they remit it as alms; but if he be from a tribe hostile to you and he is a believer, the freeing of a believing slave (suffices), and if he is from a tribe between whom and you there is a convenant, the blood-money should be paid to his people along with the freeing of a believing slave; but he who cannot find (a slave) should fast for two months successively: a penance from Allah, and Allah is Knowing, Wise.
[4.93] - And whoever kills a believer intentionally, his punishment is hell; he shall abide in it, and Allah will send His wrath on him and curse him and prepare for him a painful chastisement.

Your religion is barbaric and sick. It has been since its inception. Even while other religions have become more 'civilized' (for lack of a better word), Islam has remained as intolerant and barbaric as ever.
I would pray that you find conversion and read about Jesus Christ. Unlike Muhammed, he killed noone. He wasn't a polygamist. His message was a simple mesage of love. Unfortunately, if you live in a Muslim country you may be killed if you convert away from Islam, as directed in the Qu'ran.

There is only one quaran... there is only one islam... The quaran is islam and islam is the quaran... the quaran clearly states that those who do not submit to islam are to be killed... you indanger your head by stating such a question... by the very words of the quaran you are not a true follower... Keep questioning...seek The Truth... you will find it if you are honestly seeking... you already know you will not find it in the deception that is islam.
