People did it for years before modern technology made it possible to determine the sex. There are so many unisex outfits in greens, yellow, etc. All you really need are nighties, blankets, bibs and onsies... and so many have cute bears, butterflies, dinosaurs, etc, that a girl or boy would be adorable. Also, suggest gift baskets of lotions, powders, baby soaps, etc. You will really need those.... and diapers. A shower I attended, a lady brought four containers of Dreft laundry detergent. I found out later, this is what pediatricians now recommend, but it's like $9.50 a container !!! Make a list of items you know you will need, and share with family and friends. They want to make you happy.... congrats on your new little bundle of joy !!!

Ask them all to chip in for something big, like a changing table or crib. Have them give you green and yellow blankets. Ask for onesies, diapers, bottles, burp clothes, picture frames/albums, a diaper genie, or other baby items that you will need. Go through a store and make a list of what you would like/need that can come in a unisex color.
I also suggest not asking for pacifiers. It can cost a lot of money in dentists bills later on.

I basically went to a minimum of one some days in the past the place we performed the "grimy Diaper activity". You get like 5-6 diapers, and a similar quantity of candy bars (basically they may be the "exciting length" small ones). positioned each and every candy bar in the diaper and that i assume they microwaved it for some seconds, long adequate to soften it adequate to mush up the bars. First: bypass out enjoying cards with the numbers a million-6 on them. Then write the numbers on the diapers in black marker. (oh forgto to characteristic to fold up the diapers some what). as quickly as everybody has a card or paper and pen, then bypass around one diaper with the #a million on it. human beings could guess what style of bar the "poopie" is. Then bypass around diaper #2, etc. At this occasion I went to the host did postpone a equipment of candy bars for us to make a call from considering the fact that there are 1000's of types to make a call from. the single individual who have been given all 6 applicable have been given a equipment of candy bars as a prize. (host had have been given those exciting length 6 packs of all varieties of bars.)

I agree with the last answer. My sister didn't know the sex of her baby and everyone bought clothes that can be worn by either sex (onesies, alot of cute animal outfits, slippers, pjs), baby carriages, car seats, cribs, blankets....all yellow or green.

Maybe they could pool their money and get you the biggies like, a car seat, crib, mattress, changing table, swing, stroller. You will always need diapers, drool cloths, rash creams and bottles if not breast feeding. Babies love mobiles, mirrors (they clip onto the crib), rattles and music. There are tons of things they could get you that are gender neutral.
Congratulations.
