I dont like any fonts to spell it outright. Her name is Jordan. I also dont want chinese or japanese letters, thats too overdone, but maybe greek or something more original. I also wonder if there is a symbol for her name? or a symbol for the word daughter? Ive spent the last hour and a half surfing looking for something but cant find anything. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated thanks so much

Hey, here's a thought. Why not English? Most tattoo shops have volumes of different lettering to choose from. A tattoo shop is one of the best places for inspiration. Especially when you speak to an extremely talented artist.

Why don't you think about the river Jordan? You could have the shape of that or something inspired by it tattooed on yourself.

Otherwise I think you should go for a language you can speak yourself. I think it's weird to get a name in a script you don't understand. If you're Greek or you love Greece, there may be a point to getting it written in Greek lettering, but doing it just for the sake of it is kind of tacky.

You could definitely find a tattoo artist who would make the lettering really beautiful for you in Roman (English) script.

I am struggling with the same decision. I want a tattoo for my son. Either his name or intials. Research it for a while. I have decided to wait until I am done with having kids that way I can maybe get a tatto that represents all of them. I wish you good luck. Its not easy finding the perfect design or lettering..something that will be premenant for the rest of your life. Choose wisely.

If you decide to tattoo her name in greek that will be: TZOPNTAN. That's a good idea!Another idea is to use gothic letters If thats in your style or you can ask your daughter's opinion.

Jordan is a Hebrew name meaning "to flow down" so maybe you should have like a waterfall or something with her name in it or around it. I would reccomend going to fonts.com to search for fonts that you like or that remind you of your daughter. Good luck!

i'm not sure what your taste is, but my sister got her daughter's name tattooed on her. the name is Kai'li which is a hawaiian name. so i drew her a hibiscus using the stem of the flower as the apostrophe on her name, used a simple, tropical-like writing (it was done on paper from my mind).

just an idea of how you can incorporate the name with its origin.

good luck on finding something that you'll love forever.

You could do the Zodiac sign for her birth month...
this is what I'm planning on doing (I have twins) - copying a footprint from when they were first born and getting that as a tattoo with each of their initials on the foot... very unique and special for each of my girls.

I have calligraphy writing. It looks good. In my opinion you should have a little something above the name and below it with the name in the middle. I have stars with my sons name and hearts with my mans name.

you are not going to put it over your butt are you? nothing is more of a turn-off when a guy sees a tramp-stamp tat and its a woman's child's name.
not sweet or sexy.
