Why on earth I've just read your Q? I'll never know, because Im a girl, I know nothing about cars,besides I would'nt know if it was good or bad if your belly button was in or out....!!!!

if your refering to the fuel cut off switch that triggers when the cars had a prang or what not then it should be down, pops out when set off.
