I don't encounter a lot of Muslims in my life. I don't see many questions pertaining to Islam on this board. And Christianity is a much more immediate problem for me where I live. Asking why I'm so distracted by Christianity is like asking why a drowning person is so concerned with water.

I think you have that a bit backwards. It is the Christian community's attempts to force their religion into classrooms that causes those who reject a Bible-literalist interpretation of Creation to strenuously object.
If Islam were the religion that was trying to force the Koran to be taught in science classrooms, you'd see just as much protest from 'evolutionists'. In North America anyhow.
Unfortunately, in many Islam dominated nations, the education system has already been degraded so far that students are not taught science, or evolution. There are few people who know enough to even protest the religious teachings in the classrooms. It is precisely that state of affairs that keeps atheists fighting against religion sneaking into classrooms here. We don't want to see North America backslide into some ignorant, benighted theological hellhole.
The Creationist assertions of Muslims, orthodox Jews, and even Flying Spaghetti Monsterists are all equally unscientific, and have no place in science classrooms, but in North America, it is the Christian version which keeps trying to sneak it's little pointy head into the curriculum.

Since Christians are the ones who are oppressing our rights to freedom from religion then they will constantly be attacked. If you guys would stop harassing everybody into believing your religion things would be differently. Now I know that not all Christians are doing this. However it's the fundamentalists who blow it for your whole group. Besides there are way more Christians on this board who are talking trash about other people specifically non religious people as well as non Christians.

Just an FYI, it is not the christians who 'afford' anyone the 'luxury of free speech' That is a right guaranteed by the US Constitution. Christians are far more likely to ban something than 'afford' it to anyone.
As far as Islam is concerned, I also tell them to believe whatever they like and allow others the same right.
When the Christians get out of everyone's face and out of legislation, they will get a LOT more respect.

Atheists harass Christians. Christians AFFORD atheists the right of free speech.
Dude, there is so much wrong with your statement, I don't even know where to start.
I think all religions are silly. I only really talk about the ones that are actively telling me I'm going to hell. Want to know which ones do that? I'll bet you can guess.

Well, I've never personally have any Islamic person mock me for my choice. I've had MANY Christians harass me about it, though.
Plus I know more about Christianity as I was once a practicioner, and found it to be nonsense. I don't know a lot about Islam.

Most of the people you refer to, Not all, but most are Americans.
In the USA there are 80% Christians, and about 3% Muslims.
Besides, it's more fun to tease Christians because they 'feel sorry for you' and promise to 'pray for you' and other silly stuff... the Muslims just shout "Allah's Snakbar" and leave.

Well, I've never had a someone of the Islamic faith try to convert me (and yes I do have a number of friends who are Muslim) however, I have had numerous Christians try to get me to come to their church so that I can be saved. Saved from what.. if I need saving from anyone it's them. Oh and I'm agnostic and not atheist.

Omg, where have you been hiding??? You say that hardly anyone dumps on Muslims here in R&S. You've GOT to be kidding me, this happens all damn day long.
People harrassed you for your last question because you said that Black people were the missing link between apes and humans. If you say this, you've got to expect people to get upset, because it's simply not true.
