Computers are slowly yet surely taking over the world as we know it. At almost any job, you will be required to work a computer. School is preparing you for this event that will happen.
The computer classes that you are taking are more than likely keyboarding classes, or basic word programs such as Word Perfect or Microsoft Word. Learning to use a computer, operate it correctly, ect. is essential for those of us who want to strive if the future.
So:
1) Computers will become increasingly used in the future in jobs and such.
--- (You need computer class to prepare you for this!)
2) The classes will teach you how to use and type with computers

You can't even work at McDonalds without using a computer, every job in the future will involve using computers, they are the future.

it will give you a better understanding of computers.
it will make you more compotent.
you need knowledge of computers for nearly every job out there these days.
