Yes and in law there would be nothing to stop the related officer being involved,but in practice he would not be for obvious reasons.It cant be made law because some stations have very few officers and the accused couldnt be held indefinately.

The accused can be questioned at the police station, as long as the police officer in question is not involved. But, why be questioned at the police station? You do not need to answer questions there unless you volunteer to go there. Answer the questions at your house, at work, your lawyers office, wherever you are comfortable. It is not like on TV where they bring you downtown because they think you did something, you have to volunteer to go and you can leave at anytime you want to.
