Ok you need to have your degree in Psychology first...Be a member of the BPS ( British Psychological Society)... You'll have to do your masters as well and 1 year practice.

First of all obviously a degree but i would combine it as at a whole degree can get a bit repetitive and boring. Perhaps sociology. My friend wants to be a pscyhologist and for A level he is taking psychology, sociology, philosophy and ethics and english language and literature. i think these are the most appropiate choices for a career in this subject. However it is really hard to get into the psychology career so to improve your chances perhaps do some voluntry work.

you need to go to university to get your degree in psychology, but they wont let you in unless you can prove you are academically able to cope with the coursework.

so any educational certificates to prove this if you have them would be great. if you havent got any highschool grades to fall back on you can do whats called an access course for mature students relevant to the career you want at any local college and they will give you all the help you need with university applications.

good luck xxx

1) get a degree in psychology
2) do some volutary work
3) get a job as an assitant psychologist
4) get a job training as a clinical psychologist
in that order - it will take you about 7 years to qualify properly. Still interested?
