I bought some Jennie-o turkey burgers that were not frozen when I got them. I didn't have time to cook them so I threw them in the freezer. Can I just put them in a pan and fry them up without thawing (like with ground beef patties) or do I have to thaw them first in order to cook them safely? I'm not to familar with cooking ground turkey.

You should be able to cook them from a frozen state, just keep the heat low and watch them closely so as not to burn

I would probably put them in the fridge over night to thaw. However you could cook them from frozen. You'll just have to make sure that the meat is cooked well all the way through. So cook them on a lower temperature so the outer layers are not burned before the centre is cooked.

I have done this and it works fine. Just fry them at a very low heat and for a longer time than you normally would. This allows the inside of the patty to thaw out and cook. If you cook on high heat you will burn the outside before the inside gets up to safe temperatures.

Hopefully you have a meat thermometre? Be sure to cook thoroughly till the inside temp is at least 180 degrees
