I used to have the same problem.
About the knots in your hair, after washing your hair, but in a very generous amount of conditioner. Leave it in for over five minutes. This lets it really soak into your hair, and will help with tangles.
When you get out of the shower, towel dry your hair. Hair dryers only seem to increase the frizz, no matter how hard I tried, hair dryers just made my hair worse, so don't use them.
To really tame your hair, use a wet-hair straightener, it will straighten your hair while it's wet, and save time, and trying to keep it from tangling.
When your hair is straight, or semi-straight, you can do a lot more with it. If you put it into a pony-tail while it's still semi-wet, semi-straight, and let it dry some more, it will actually look quite good.
But remember, whatever you do, try NOT to use a ton of products. The more you wash your hair, the more trouble you have to go through to get it to look good again. So only wash your hair every once in a while.
Also, DON'T cut it short, when I cut my frizzy hair short, it became even more unmanagable, and looked horrible. Thinning your hair is a very good idea, and layers look great.

Find a reputable salon & go get the professional advice you need. Ask all the questions that you have on your mind about your hair & the hair care that will work best for you. :) From what you have stated about your hair, you really need to have it thinned out, & get a haircut/style that looks best on you, given the shape of your face. There are many products out there that are made for your hair type. Once you get a good cut & regular conditioning, you won't be having those bad hair days anymore. The salon hair products are exspensive, if you're on a tight budget. If you live near a beauty supply store, you can buy hair products there but certain items you won't be able to purchase but hey, it'll be cheaper than buying these products in a salon. I use a variety of Pantene hair products & love the "shampoo & conditioner in one." I also love the spray in conditoner that you leave in your hair. It works great too!!!

For me I have my hair cut in long layers, and make sure your stylist does not use a razor to create the layers because this causes more frizz. I use a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner (I love Redking products), a leave-in conditioner, mouse and and then an anti-frizz serum by Avon. I do not wash my hair with shampoo everyday, instead I just condition it. Also I let my hair air dry most of the time. Hope this helps.

ok, no reason to panic. You stated your hair replaced into nevertheless below your shoulder, so take a deep breath... Now, you may desire to the two bypass get it decrease professionally (which i could do at this factor for the reason which you look disillusioned.) i've got given somewhat some haircuts, and curiously like your hair length is genuinely long adequate to artwork with a supply you a great 'do. in any different case, you may desire to consistently pull it back in a reasonably intense pony-tail, and then basically trim the ends. you will get a marvelous, layered look, yet do no longer trim too plenty. i've got performed that approach in the previous in-between hair cuts. It does not look magnificent, yet no longer too undesirable. confident, hair remedies influence your hair, generally by skill of drying it out, so be valuable to apply conditioner. good success!

if your hair is unhealthy then try trimming with layers. also my stylist said that if my hair ever started drying out and frizzing that i should just wet my hair and only shampoo and condition once a week...but please, don't forget to wash your body! lol! also try air drying, and if that doesn't help, then try blow drying it but not all the way so it's only partly damp while brushing it straight at the same time from the roots down. Let the rest air dry.
