I honestly don't know if a fetus feels pain. But I know that millions of un-housed children (that pro-lifers seem to forget about) feel pain everyday from not having a loving home. People seem to forget that children are put into adoption centers when they're mother's don't opt for abortion. Of course, adoption would be an alright alternative, except the adoption rate is extremely low, especially for those who are over the age of two.

Perhaps not in the earliest weeks. But yes they do feel pain. My best girl frind had one at 30 weeks. Precious little thing. He could certianly feel pain even though he looked like a little alien (he's a healthy 6 year old now amazingly)

I don't know how to do it politically since reproduciton is such a sensitive issue. But sterilization is a much better answer.

OCTOBER 5:
Today my life began. My parents do not know it yet, but it is I already. And I am to be a girl. I shall have blond hair and blue eyes. Just about everything is settled though, even the fact that I shall love flowers.

No matter what scientific research is presented, you will encounter people who oppose abortion. These opinions are not based on rational thought, they are based on a strongly-held belief system.
That is why it is so important to maintain a separation of church and state. If we allow our laws to be changed because of a set of BELIEFS that happen to belong to the loudest, or the ones with the money, then our government has no integrity at all.
