Of course you should NOT be looking to the bible to solve your relationship issues - or to (gasp) your pastor. Even the original authors of the biblical books would laugh to know that they're being used for these purposes today. I'd suggest dealing firsthand, one on one, with the actual issues confronting your relationship, rather than escaping for portentious-sounding nonsense answers to some moldy thousand-year-old text written for nomadic savages in the desert. Praying for God to assist with your love life is akin to ripping out somebody's heart to make the sun rise.
My best to you anyway!

Ultimately you do not have to be a Christian to have what one might call a "good" relationship. There are many marriages that work. However the whole foundation for marriage is built upon the Bible. Without it marriage is ultimately just a matter of preference.
However, since God seems to be one of the more important things in your life, your girlfriend/future spouse should support that and if she is a Christian she should feel the same way.
If not then this relationship is not going to work out very well. Pray for God's wisdom and decide what is best. I have a feeling you already know the answer, but are denying it out of fear.
Remember that marriage is not a sacrament and therefore it is not the most important thing on earth. Marry someone who you can share your entire life with and who supports your beliefs, wants, and desires.
There is not enough time for me to elaborate more, but if you wish to hear more email me and I can elaborate.

I don't have a bible handy, but i will say that i do know from the experiences of others that if you have a relationship that is God honoring the relationship will work out better.
1. You both need to be saved.
2. You both need to realize the need of Christ in your life and have a desire to obey Him.
3. You also need to pray together and read the Bible together to grow.
In doing this pray that God will make clear His will and although it won't pop out and hit you on the head it will be clear to you. Just be patient and trust. Try to find a good friend to help you stay accountable in the relationship and make sure that you are both living as pure with each other and God that you can.

I was told one time that if you can read 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 and actually apply it to your partner then you can really say that you love that person as God would have you do.Pray for each of these to be true & manifested in your relationship.
There are also a lot of good things in the book of Proverbs. Try both of you reading 1 chapter per day, (there are 31 i think) and do it over again for 3-6months it can be very helpful

Here are some verses that might help:
Philippians 2:1-4
John 15:5
Proverbs 11:14
1 Corinthians 11:11
If you feel awkward praying out loud you can use a prayer journal. Remember, He already knows what's in your heart. It doesn't matter what you say, only that you are giving your relationship to Him. Matthew 6:5-14 helped me with prayer.
Also you can find lots of books of daily prayers you can use concerning relationships. I find this helpful as I am praying for my husband and children. Try Stormie O'Martian?(I have mispelled her last name)
I hope this helps.

Remember that relationships are the most important thing to God. Your relationship with him, with your parents, siblings, neighbors, and spouses. Ask if your girlfriend is the one God sent for you. You can feel it in your heart if you know she's the right one for you. I wonder how you tried to manage the relationship w/o God...were you sinning (i.e. having sex with each other) and now you feel that you want to do it God's way? All you can have w/o God is an illusion. That's all. So if you want this relationship to work, then ask God to open both your and your girlfriend's hearts to what God wants for both of you. Ask God to forgive you of your sins. Ask God to put a hedge of protection around you and your girlfriend. Remember that satan is constantly trying to destroy relationships. Dont be discouraged. Praise God regardless of the outcome of your relationship.
God Bless.

Its the desire of every couple to please each other, but that is not enough. Something else is also needed. “A threefold cord cannot quickly be torn in two.” (Eccl. 4:12) Marriage becomes a threefold cord by bringing God into it. To bring God into one’s marriage by pleasing him means to keep his commandments as found in his Word, the Bible. It commands, “Love your neighbor as yourself.” For married folks their closest neighbor is their own mate. They must also apply to their relations with each other Jesus’ further words: “Just as you want men to do to you, do the same way to them.” How strengthening to marriage is the application of these commands!—Mark 12:31; Luke 6:31.
At Psalm 127:1: Unless God builds the house, it is to no avail that its builders have worked hard on it. Unless God guards the city, it is to no avail that the guard has kept awake. The same principle applies to our making a success of marriage.
If you recognized your obligation at all times to be pleasing to God, then you will have success. Pray also helps so try it, just pour your heart out to him in private. Tell him how you feel, what you want in your relationship, ask him for guidance to do the right thing. Don't just ask one time but pray to him regularly, ever day and your praise will be answered.

I suggest going to a Christian bookstore and looking for a bible study on relationships. Joshua Harris' books Boy meets Girl and I Kissed Dating Goodbye are really good books to read. They have lots of scripture references. Another good book is Dating With Integrity (I can't remeber who the auther was) It gives you scripture verses at the end of each chapter pluse a Bible Study that you and your girlfirend can do together. I will be praying for you.

Honey, people cannot be happy with others until they can be happy in themselves. What ever you do, don't try to change her! Only God can do that. My advise would be to be strong in the Lord and let Him teach you how to treat her.Trust me, I've been there. When a woman is treated with love and honor, she,in turn, will treat you with love and honor! Ask God to guide you and deal with you, and when you start to change and respond with love, believe me she will take a better look at herself! You always get in return, what you give!

Instead of looking for scriptures that highlight faulty relationships, look for instruction on how to have a Godly relationship. 1 Corinthians 7, Ephesians 5, Phillipians 2.
Also, if you don't plan on getting married, then you should probably separate, but that's your decision.
