im makeing brownies and i dont have any veg. oil

Well, vegetable oil is basically tasteless, while olive oil is not. Technically, I don't think it would affect the outcome of the brownies texturewise, and It's also unlikely that it would adversely affect the taste in a big way unless a lot is called for in the recipe.

If you hate olive oil or something, though, I don't advise it.

NO. Olive oil has its own taste and I wouldn't substitute the vegetable oil. Your brownies may have an after taste if you do. Try applesauce instead.

Yes. I never use vegetable oil in baking. Only olive oil or butter. I think it taste better.

Yes. I use it instead of Vegetable oil all the time. It gives food more of a rich flavor. And its healthier. I actually just made some brownies with it a few weeks ago.

If it's the light olive oil that doesn't have a strong smell I'm sure it would be fine. However, if it's EVOO your brownies will probably have a bit of an olive flavor. I guess it depends on how bad you want those brownies. :o)

You can but they might taste slightly different, since most olive oils have a strong smell/flavor.

yes, when itailians make desserts they use olive oil all the time....it is just your preferance but, take it from me they will turn out delicious and will be much healthier, olive oil is a healthy fat. try it!! what do you have to lose?

You can replace it, but it will taste a little different...at the same time is better, since olive oil is healthier.
