My own personal experience is that TV isolates people fueling the loneliness and need for appreciation. Many believe that they are "Nobody" unless they have a shot of "Fame" given by the TV.

It wouldn't really be a problem. I hardly watch the thing anyway. But my TV's so old and outdated that nobody else would want it. As for how many TVs it would take, that's a matter of speculation. Even one would do the trick, if it'll get someone off the couch and actively participating in charitable acts.
